Fly with maximum efficiency
3Point Resonance Technology maximizes repulsion efficiency
Conventional irons have a shape where the "center of gravity" (where the face bends the most) is far from the "center of gravity" and the actual "point of impact", making it difficult to maximize the distance. By placing a rib on the toe side of the iron head, Yamaha has succeeded in maximizing the repulsion efficiency by moving the "center of gravity" closer to the "center of gravity" and "point of impact".

High repulsion performance and high initial velocity
Improves initial velocity performance of the impact point
The new material "X37" with high strength and toughness is used, and a precision one-piece casting with a sole thickness of just 1.1 mm has been achieved.
The repulsion area of the sole has been enlarged compared to the previous model, which has increased the amount of sole deflection, and the repulsion performance of the lower part of the face close to the impact point has been dramatically improved.
Overwhelming distance and high trajectory
A large-capacity tungsten weight is placed behind the sole (TYPE/D: 41g, TYPE/S: 77g).
The ultra-deep and low center of gravity provides overwhelming distance and a high trajectory. (Center of gravity depth: 6.8mm, center of gravity height: 18.1mm)

Dedicated wedges for two models
We have a lineup of three dedicated wedges that are compatible with both TYPE/D and TYPE/S irons: 42 degrees (AW), 48 degrees (AS), and 55 degrees (SW). We highly recommend these wedges because they are specially designed with lofts to match the irons.
